This Tuesday, Vidmantas Janulevičius, President of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists, and Ričardas Sartatavičius, Director General, visited Avia Solutions Group service centre, located at the AeroCity complex. During the visit, Vygaudas Ušackas, a member of the ASG Board of Directors, presented the aviation services business centre and, together with Joris Gintilas, Chairman of the Board of the Lithuanian Aviation Association LAVIA, and Mindaugas Reinikis, Secretary General, presented the most relevant issues for LAVIA and ASG.
During the meeting, most of actual challenges Lithuanian aviation industry is facing today were reviewed, priority directions for strengthening interaction were agreed upon, especially in the areas of changing the national taxation policy for foreign residents, training of aviation specialists, removing excessive regulations and international cooperation seeking to increase the presence of Lithuanian aviation industry in non-EU markets.
LPK president also highlighted the importance of the sustainable performance level achieved by all ASG members during the pandemic period. He also emphasised the importance of constructive cooperation between LPK and LAVIA to keep aviation industry inside Lithuania, remove all excessive national administrative barriers to assist the whole aviation industry bounce back after Covid-19 as soon as possible.
LAVIA has been uniting and representing most ASG companies for ten years, and became a member of LPK this year.
